Our carol service will once again be a bit of an adventure, with the story of the Nativity being brought to life in various ways, including sound and light, the taste of middle-east foods, and the smell of spices, herbs and incense used in those ancient times.
Our stereo will play some lovely Christmas music, with choirs and orchestras from around the world performing the best traditional music and carols for the season.
We will welcome you with a little glass of warming port, and you might be able to take home your own bit of myrrh or frankincense, though we are still thinking about the gold!
We also plan to have real donkeys in the tower, and one or two other delights for the children as this is, above all, a family service!
Recent carol services here at Rose Ash have proved to be great fun and immensely popular, and this year should be no exception.
So bring your best singing-voices and help us all to prepare for Christmas, and the real story behind all the modern commercial consumption: that of a small child, born in lowly-circumstances, who grew to shine a light of caring-optimism in a rather crazy world.
