Coffee Morning on Armistice Day
Our monthly coffee morning fell on Armistice Day this year and it was decided that we should mark the moment the guns fell silent in 1918 with a minutes silence of our own.

Jill and Glenys did the hard work in the kitchen, making delicious bacon baps which were snapped up. Dennis, Stella and Caro lent a hand as well.
We were also lucky enough to have been given the wonderful flower-arangements from the church music-event from the previous night. The flowers included many lovely roses and people had the opportunity to buy them, with all moneys raised going to St Dunstans, the charity that supports blind forces-veterans; the sale of the flowers raised £65! Thank you to all who bought them.
